About

Pippa posting her peregrinations. I am a high school English teacher and have signed a two year contract to teach 10-12th grade girls in Abu Dhabi. There are 7 Emirates and Abu Dhabi is the Capitol. I enjoy spending time in the wilds on my bike, in my kayak, or on my feet. I am looking forward to the adventure of living in the Arab Gulf and exploring all I can. Moving from Utah, I left one desert for another. Dry to Humid. Mountains to sand dunes and sea. English to Arabic. Thrift store to Souk. Shorts to Abayas.

Bring it on and Cheers!

The Marmite here is imported from South Africa and has a label over it that says ‘Bokmate’ (as in Springbok). Thank the Lord that I found it because (sorry my Aussie friends) I just don’t like the taste of Vegemite 🙂

Amen Sister! Funny the little things you need to make you happy! Mine is a product of the UK. I have seen all manner of food from around the world in the hypermarket but I know the dates are local!
